Best Wishes to the Retiring Dr. Shreves!

After 22 years at Thunderbird Internal Medicine and a lifetime of patient care, Angela Shreves, MD is retiring on June 30th. Current patients have already received notification and are selecting a newprovider.

Raised in South Dakota among a family of medical practitioners, she always knew she’d end up in a "healing" profession. After a career in nursing, she attended medical school at the University of Arizona and completed her residency at Maricopa County Medical Center. Dr. Shreves took immediately to private practice where she was a Phoenix Magazine “Top Doc,” served on and chaired committees at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and came to work every day to enjoy her biggest reward of “developing long term relationships with my patients and maintaining a ‘personal touch’ in this era of high-tech medicine."

Staff and fellow physicians aren’t the only ones who will miss this warm, energetic professional. Among the tributes contributed by her patients are:

Dr. Shreves understands the struggles in our lives and is compassionate. I am sad she will be retiring but grateful she has been my doctor since I was 18 and I am 53 now.

I am very appreciative to have had you in charge of my health.

Dr. Shreves has the nicest bedside manner!

In retirement, Dr. Shreves will be sharing her skills at Circle the City, a non-profit community health organization dedicated to providing healthcare to people experiencing homelessness. A longtime fan of the outdoors, she also plans on enjoying more time hiking, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

I've been seeing Dr. Gebeyehu for over 20 years - before she started at TIM. She is the kindest person ever and a great physician!
