Thunderbird Internal Medicine recently achieved accreditation for its Sleep Lab located at 5620 W. Thunderbird Road, suite C-1 in Glendale. The approval was obtained following submission of documents and completion of an on-site survey through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
The sleep lab provides a comfortable environment for monitoring sleep disorders such as apnea, insomnia, night terrors and restless leg syndrome. Trained technicians monitor each patient overnight. The data is then reviewed by a qualified physician who provides a diagnosis.
“The commission’s acknowledgement that our lab operates at a level of quality and effectiveness consistent with its high standards is a reflection on our premier team,” said Thunderbird CEO Brian Riveland, MD. “Every person involved with the sleep lab makes patient comfort and diagnostic integrity their top priorities.”
The Accreditation Commission for Health Care is an independent, private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1986.
Thunderbird patients are encouraged to discuss sleep disorders with their providers. For additional information, or to complete a sleep study questionnaire, go to the Sleep Studies page of our Services section.
