Darry Johnson MD
Dr. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in his native Kansas at Bethany College in Lindsborg along with his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, before moving to the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson for his neurology residency and neurophysiology fellowship.
Board certified in neurology, Dr. Johnson has been in private practice in the Valley since 1996 and joined Thunderbird Internal Medicine in July of 2014.
Committed to all aspects of neurology, he diagnoses and treats adults facing disorders of the nervous system including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia; migraines and other headache types; peripheral neuropathy; restless legs syndrome; Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders; seizures and epilepsy; multiple sclerosis; neuropathic pain syndromes; TIAs and stroke prevention. Dr. Johnson has had long-term success in administering Botox® to help prevent or control chronic migraines and movement disorders. He performs electromyograms (EMG) and nerve conduction studies on-site.
In his free time, when he’s not cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs, you’ll find him rooting for the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks and enjoying hiking, running, acting and public speaking.
