Dr. Carpenter began his career in health by conducting epilepsy research at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. He earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine before moving to Arizona for his Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale.
With an interest in Native American health care, Dr. Carpenter spent four years at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center before joining Thunderbird Internal Medicine in 2003. During his free time, he enjoys golf, tennis, traveling and trap and skeet shooting.
